About Sarah

Sarah Murphy teaches American Mah Jongg the way she first learned it: warm, unhurried, and close enough to reach across the table. She trained under Lorie Siegel of Maj with Lor and is drawn to the rich Chinese history and artistry woven into the game.

She is especially known for helping students navigate the Charleston with confidence, the part most beginners fear, and teaches with patience and care, whether it is your first game or your hundredth.

Based in Huntington, NY, Sarah founded Mah Jongg for All to offer private lessons, guided play, and curated events from Manhattan to East Hampton.
